A hunter was in pursuit of his prey Through the marshes he was stalking the bear The tracks led into a hole in the ground were he faced the beast was wounded, thrown down awaiting his death by claw and fang Suddently the fiend held in motion and whined with a crunch and a snap it found its end and with a squeal something vicious lifted its head The pestsow is roaming the night One moon cycle it plagues the land it taints all in it's path nothing's safe from it's wrath The pestsow is roaming the night Decaying more every day Everything is it's meal leaves nothing but rot and dismay in it's way A great curse has been cast Unknown gods want to feast The pestsow is roaming the night At first the people disappeared in the woods then the fields went fallow and the well filled with ooze The villagers, shocked and despaired, made a plan To ambush the daemon so they lured it to a trap with smoldering tar they showered the sow with blazing torches they lit the hay the corpseborne horror burned to death with a cry while a herder was in search of his swine The weeks they passed and word got around Of a village that burned a beast near the swamp But horror again spread across the land as they found the village, now rotten and dead the ground putrid and most foul bore the marks of piglet feet all around leading out to the marshes once again following a giant slug-like trail now compensated for his loss the herder returned to it's foul abode but the curse it had been sown and so the black death was born
