   big pot of snoop
Tuesday, September 30 2025
I've been feeling more useful in the workplace lately as I've been getting more assignments, mostly to fix various reports (since all the people who used to do reports have either left the company or are on very long vacations). This gives me a better feeling at the end of the day as I'm driving home with the windows down and radio blaring. I've been listening to more country music lately, though the number of good songs isn't big. I particularly like songs like "Weren't For the Wind," though I even like the occasional quasi-Bro-Country song such as "Stay Country or Die Tryin'."

When I got home, Gretchen had yet to get back from the Adirondacks, so the dogs were restless and happy to see me. I took them on a loop that went immediately west of the Farm Road and then over to the Farm Road and home after I'd lost both dogs (they both came) somewhere in the scrubby forest. The dogs had some sort of adventure on their own after that and took awhile to get back to the house.
I then proceeded to make a big pot of vegetable-noodle-bean soup (which I refer to as "snoop" when talking to Gretchen). I still had some kale from the garden I'd cooked like two weeks ago and it was a little marginal, but it didn't seem to hurt the soup after I added it. This time I didn't add any oregano, which was, in my opinion, a good decision.
