Corachi redesign (again) (G)

I've been trying yoro get the perfect balance for Corachi. I think I finally got it, but I ended up overlaying and tracing a different piece of art to get it (which is why I haven't posted it). I tried to message the artist of the original, but their only place of contact is their Twitter, where they've been inactive for awhile, and I haven't found anyone who does a similar art-style.
I think I'm gonna post a side-by-side of the original piece and the edit, but in the scraps area, with full credit to the artist as well as context.
