Please view on full to see better quality since FA likes to nuke the quality in this for some reason.
Sorry for the reupload, but I've been having a lot of problems with uploading to FA lately. Not really sure why.
Hope you like.

That's some pretty monochrome shading.
I think the grid-like texture on this may, when scaled down and sampled as in the standard jpeg, result in a fairly high-frequency DCT representation which in turn cannot be greatly compressed without a large loss of visual quality. It's definitely not an issue solely relating to FA, beyond the fact that FA requires some measure of lossy compression on smaller versions to conserve bandwidth.

Without compression I'm pretty FA's content server would burst into flames the first time anyone clicked "Browse." In this case, lossy compression would have been highly effective if it were done by limiting the number of colors used to something like 64 (total, not bits.)
You could probably generate a better jpeg thumbnail for this image by either disabling/weakening the texture or applying a surface blur that wouldn't greatly affect sharp edges.

You're a really underrated artist from my perspective. This is probably one of your most phenomenally eye-catching artworks in a long while. All the details are so engaging and when combined with the color scheme it definitely gets all up in your face. Textures are usually hard to work into a piece without looking tacked on so excellent execution of that aspect here as well.
Keep it up Ratte, solid job.
