Uuugh I am so disappointed in myself with this, so I shall post it now and get it out of my system!
So someone requested the she-wolf with a mask, and I really liked the concept, and as I was trying around with different masks I ended up a bit sci-fi space like (decided to not cover her mouth for this particular thing, I'll do that soon though!)
This one was heavily influenced by Gustav Holst' Planet Opus (and if you are a person that doesn't really like classical music I really think those are a nice place to start. This one is mostly related to Neptune) so it's all dramatic .. and stuff.. I have a feeling she's on a ground mission and got stuck / abandoned there. Or something.
I first tried some attempts with her standing but then settled for a reference picture I saw which felt soo fitting for the mood: http://piratelotus-stock.deviantart.....e-14-330174862 I liked the openness of the pose and how intense the straight look was.
Anway, I am really disappointed about how little drama I managed to convey. A better composition could have possibly saved this but I like the straight-on intensity.. in a year I will look back and see what's wrong, not believing I messed it up so much, but for now I decided to stop working on it because it annoyed me ;)
Long story short: Sci-fi speed painting everybody! Hooray!

What bothers me about it is the composition.. It's hard to find the right one between emotional close up and a wide shot to establish the loneliness and sense of abandoning that I was going for. I guess if it was animated the camera would move away and she'd get smaller and smaller. That's missing for me
No worries fellow space traveler, for one of my alternate selves works aboard a Federation starship http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10375060/
I'll put in a good word with the navigator and see if we can't pick you up. Now space aboard our vessel is limited so you may have to bunk with me until we get you back to your own ship.
Nice work with this, the pose and expression do project a sense of abandonment/helplessness or even shock/fear at what just happened.

My problem with it is the composition - like said above.
I wanted there to be an aspect of the wide and void of space, but that's hard to do in a close-up which is good for the intensity. I had planned for some reflection of space in her helmet or somethign but I didn't even attempt in the end. Not sure how that would have worked. Anyway, that's the part that's bothering me

*lowers a hyooge paw*
Commander Cinn, your rescue has arrived. B3
Let's get you home, ehh? :P *leaps off Neptune towards Earth* ^^
For some reason, your expression in this REALLY makes it!
Almost like you're looking up and thinking, "Did... This REALLY just happen....? O.O"
Yay? :P

Definitely have to say I'm liking this piece. Her expression conveys that she's seeing something that she just cannot believe, something stunning and shocking. The pose makes me think she's either in microgravity (zero G or floating), though near to a surface such as an asteroid or a low-gravity moon/moonlet. I like the suit design, honestly. A nice mix of both hardsuit sections for protection against abrasion and impact and softsuit for flexibility. Still, that stunned look makes the entire picture. While you might not like it, I can in no way say it is bad. Thank you VERY much for sharing it.
