A happy corgi wants to play with the big kids. They're so cute with their little legs.

I use golden fluid acrylics, which are much looser and waterier than the tubed variety, which helps - and then for very smooth gradients I either work wet-on-wet so the water helps with the even distribution of the paint, or I layer from dark to light - which makes it more opaque so the brush strokes/paper texture arent as evident.
But I've also been working with these acrylics almost exclusively for about 4 years - so its probably also getting comfortable with the medium (I used to hate acrylics ^.^,)

kawii. when I was living up in Pembroke (Ontario, Canada.) A neighbor of mine had a corgi, unfortunately she had to put him down just recently. I love dogs and i must say my dog a black field lab named Aliyah, acts just like that. I've gotta say that was some amazing panting you did there. just out of curiosity what colours did you use. if i didn't know any better i'd swear you used colored pencils. amazing work keep it up.
