This is a visual guide to FA's legacy emoticons or emoji for everyone to enjoy and use, whether you prefer the Legacy page layout, or like some of us, the new "Modern" layout that unfortunately lacks the visual emoji legend right beside the comment/reply submission box.
I've also taken into account sizing or scaling larger for easier viewing because as one of the fandom's Gray Muzzles, it helps having large fonts and icons to see what the heck you're doing. xDD
To use the legacy emoji in your chats, personal notes, or submission comments, simply type the characters under each emoji, for example
:very happy: minus the space between, and you should end up with a happy smiley.
Of course now that FA has updated their U.I. to what we have now, the added benefit is larger scaled emoji via Windows, or copy pasted emoji from emoji sites like https://getemoji.com/ or https://emojipedia.org/ so now we all have a much broader choice of emoji to use. So that's why I wanted to make a legacy emoji map for everyone, because
NOSTALGIA!
Enjoy my fuzzies!
Also woohoo first submission for 2020!

I think if anything, Fendy and Dragons haven't bothered with re-implementing these emoji is because emojipedia came about, where anyone can just copy-paste those into most any chat box to use. But these are Legacy FA stuff, and I'm an old fart... I won't let this die!.. It's what I've grown so used to in my time here on FA.
No prob! Few moons back when the FA crew updated stuff and introduced the new page layouts, the missing legend of emoji was one thing I noticed right away. Grapevine had the notion that Fendy and crew would reintroduce something similar in due time but, that just didn't seem to happen.
Naturally as one of the Fandom's Gray Muzzles, I couldn't let the old emoji go missing and become forgotten, so I took a screenie, enlarged it in photoshop and dropped enlarged ascii below them all, for easier viewing and use.

Thank you for this guide!
I actually came in search of these codes because I wanted to make a reference to something, but also wanted to know if typing the reference into the reply box would break it due to getting converted into one of these emoji, haha. If you know, you know!

Thanks a lot dude :D
I'm developing a desktop and mobile app for Fur Affinity and I really needed these values to map their old emotes XD
Luckily, I already found out that one can just switch to the older theme to see the emote picker, so I already mapped these 29 emotes, but if you inspect HTML source, you see that there are actually 31 emotes.
Do you know the string to use to obtain them?
I am referring to this FA asset: https://www.furaffinity.net/themes/.....te_smilies.png
The two missing emotes are the last one of the4th row and the first of the 5th row.
Thanks in advance and have a good furry day :3

I didn't see it as an underscore on the image which is why I tried - but I appreciate you explaining it to me C:
I'm running a test with visuals so I remember but when I was testing the other codes, they didn't work but I'm going to presume that they don't work on profile descriptions.
:_o (testing with underscore)
