Taski Guru, 1944
While I was sketching up my Winter War piece, I was looking at
taski_guru's artwork. I love her style and layouts, plus her watercolor work is wonderful. Plus the little Russian is Caribou based, gotta love that right there.
I looked at one of her drawings, (seen here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/40771552/ ) and was still in a "Reindeer" mood, and decided to sketch up Taski as one of the female soldiers during WW2 fighting on the Soviet side. Only saw the one drawing she said was her fursona, otherwise I'd draw something else up of her later. I certainly would like to see more.
Something about a caribou with a Nagant M-44 about to pop a Fritz seems appealing.

She's also very capable at capturing an 'ethereal' quality with her watercolours - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/36705079/ - that's very hard to achieve with digital media, as the temptation there is to make it bright and oversaturated, and frequently looks too perfect (see every modern CGI animated feature ever); the natural world *is* a little rough around the edges, that's what maks it interesting.
