I find liquorice and mint are two flavours that are out of place in a variety of recipes.
Which isn’t to say that I haven’t experimented with the latter, but then I have a garden full of peppermint.
Liquorice on the other hand I have only really used in brewing teas. With the exception of pfeffernusse cookies, I don’t think I have really used it in baking.

I really liked the tale of Old Red-Eye too. Root beer has been one of my favorites for years. My grandmother used to treat us by making root beer floats, putting a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream in the glass.
Recently, I found a selection of very good sodas (we used to call it pop) at the dollar store. At a dollar a bottle, it is pricey for soda, but it's made with pure cane sugar and is it ever good, though the calorie count is quite high.

It’s been ages since I had a float; maybe I’ll make a beer float, depending on what’s available.
As I was saying to Bering, why can’t nature make sweet things are actually good for us?
That’s one of the problems with writing about carbonated beverages, we usually call it pop but down in the States it’s usually called Sosa, so I usually try to use both. Or Sodie pop, lol.
What’s the brand of pop you were referring to Vixyy?
