If you're wondering why I haven't drawn all summer, this is why. I bought a resin 3D printer in May to feed my mini-painting hobby. Then in June, I decided to print the Heroforge models I made of my characters. I was going to just paint them, but then I got sucked into watching diorama building tutorials on youtube.
Next thing I know, I've got box after box of craft shit coming from Amazon because I decided I wanted to build a diorama.
Then I get the bright idea to light the stage, and next thing I know I'm watching wiring tutorials and spent an entire evening wiring the stage. It was one of those evenings where I started at 5pm, then next thing I know it's midnight and I haven't ate.
Well, THAT ended up burning me out pretty bad, so I took SEVERAL weeks off.
I finally decided to knuckle down and finish it over the past 2 weeks.
I wanted to add more shit to it like posters and more instruments, but it was already taking long enough and just wanted it to be done.
It was a fun project, but It's gonna be the last diorama I make for a while.
In the story, Red and Scott go around bars playing small gigs for money. It's something they loved doing, but over time they bonded over it, and that bond eventually deepened to love. It was something I sort of wanted to capture here. Given that it's hard to make two Heroforge models look at each other, I think I nailed it.
