So... was a bit ago when I lost my beloved cat, Misty. At the time I said I'd never have another cat because I had just lost so many over my lifetime and losing Misty was the biggest hurt of all time. So, instead of me adopting a cat... the cat adopted me. Raider is, if not the biggest cat I've ever had, at least the equal to Ol' Muff from when I was a wee lad. Muff was huge and lived to be 23 years before passing on while I was in the military. To give you an idea how big this cat is, his tail measures 18 inches long from base to tip. 5 and 6 foot 'jumps' are nothing for him. In the pic he's lying on my bed... his back paws are on my pillow for my head... his head is nearly at the bottom of the bed (about a foot and a half short of the bottom). He's horkin huge. Weighs only 18 pounds though... thankfully. He's got super long body and legs... but isn't fat and likely won't be until he gets old. He's far too active to get fat. And he's absolutely my cat (or, to put it properly, I'm his human). He gets upset whenever I leave... and mugs me when I get home. He sleeps by my head until I fall asleep then he goes to his favorite spot. He loves to bury under the covers with me and spoon... yes... spoon. Crazy cat. So... never say never. =^-.-^=

He is, of all my pets I've ever had, the MOST talkative one ever. He really makes me wish I could speak cat. And, we're discovering we might have misnamed him. We should've called him 'Snoopy'... both after the Charlse Shultz character for the way he LOVES to drape over everything... and because you cannot open a door, can, box, or do much of anything... without his nose in the business. He's a character and a half.
