He had to throw a moon at something. Sometimes I can be a bit... much with levels of power. The giant space god was going to eat our star and in the story, someone said "If it gets to that point what are we going to do? Just casually throw rocks at it? I guess that would work if it was the fucking moon!" and I thought... man that would be memorable, and it was.
