Story:
“Welcome in!”
The old lady smiled and, with a polite wave and gentle smile, welcomed in their latest customer. Behind her was a doorway to a room full of life, fun and play, but her attention wasn’t their at the moment. It was their naptime, anyways.
“Thanks… It’s really okay to leave ‘em with you? I haven’t been without my Pokemon in a while…”
The old lady chuckled. “Oh, well I’ll guide you through the process young man, it’s really quite too simple!” She turned around and picked up a piece of paper, stamping the top and retrieving a pen. “Just give me some basic information about your two Pokemon, and we can make sure that they have an enjoyable time here!
‘Two? That’s a relief. I only really needed this for one, but I suppose leaving one to watch over would be a smart choice.’
“Well…” The young boy said, digging into his bag and retrieving a Great Ball and a standard Poke Ball. “I’d like these two to be admitted, please… If that’s okay?”
“Oh! You are just the most polite thing! Honestly, you remind me so much of my grandson… Of course it’s alright! We accept all types here at this daycare, and I do assure you we have all the certification necessary to care for them all!” Behind her was several framed certificates from the Johto League of Health and Safety, displaying their credibility. “Now, If I may begin with the questions about these two?”
“Yes.”
“Splendid! Now…” Putting her glasses on, she began to read off the questions.
“First name?”
“K-R-I-S.”
“Occupation and reason for deposit?”
“Pokemon Trainer, and just for errand running.”
“Number of Pokemon and their Types?”
“Two Pokemon, both are just Fire-Types.”
“Basic Training?”
“Oh… Well, not quite yet.”
“Oh? May I ask you what species they are?”
Kris shifted. “Well… It’s a Quilava and Cyndaquil… I realize that’s kinda unusual for lacking training… but I’ve really been thinking about seriously starting… Recently it’s just been some light training here and there.”
“I see.” The old woman switched to a red pen and began filling in a circle. “And is it alright if, for a small extra fee, we attempt to train them here? Of course, if there’s failure to display results, we’ll refund you the money. It really is a small fee.”
“Oh… Yeah!” Kris said, excited. “Yeah, that’d be just the boost we need to help them grow. I’d like to do that, yes.”
“Alright. And can I receive their names?”
“My Quilava is called Spike, and my Cyndaquil is called Ren. They’re both, uh, male, if that matters.”
“Oh, other than the pattern, not particularly, but I’m sure you knew that already, right? Do you want to drop off any supplies with them? If not, we do supply our own.”
‘Pattern?’ “Yeah… not really. Although I do ask you to keep the two together, usually. Spike’s overprotective of his little brother.”
“I see. Then I’ll just take the two with me for now.” Kris tentatively stepped forward and deposited the blue and red balls to the woman.
‘Now it’s just me and Armada. We can do some shopping and then see if we can’t catch another party member. See you soon, you two.’
“Alright… is that all?” Kris asked.
“Oh yes, you may go now. We take payment after you come back, either way. It’s 9:30 in the morning, so when will you estimate your return?”
“I’d think for a couple of hours… maybe 5? I’ll call the daycare though, if something happens.”
“Splendid! You do take care now!”
‘Where am I?’
‘Where am I?’
The two Fire-Type starters take in their surroundings. Their young trainer briefed them already about going to a Daycare, but… Spike wasn’t expecting them both to go. Next to him, Ren was looking wide-eyed at the sight.
There were slides, small indoor swings, and most of all, many other Pokemon likely around their age running around, playing, and having fun. It looked like a fun outing for the two of them, despite Spike thinking he was a bit too old to be spending time at a daycare, being 8 and all, compared to his younger brother, Ren, being only 5.
“So Kris really left us here? I guess Armada will have to protect him.” Spike sighed. “Ren, what do you think?”
“I wanna go have fun!” The little Cyndaquil said excitedly, before running off to play.
But Ren was suddenly halted and glowed slightly pink.
Spike’s flames shot up at the sight of what looked to be his brother being attacked by some Psychic-Type, so he frantically looked around, only to spot an Espeon walking up, dressed in a nurse’s outfit, their gem glowing, to his brother.
Spike leaped up in front of his psychically held brother. “Get away from him! What are you doing?”
Spike was then also held up in a tight, pink hold.
The Psychic spoke. “Relax, okay? I’m only here to get you two situated, and then you may go, alright? I didn’t mean to make you think I’m hurting him. I actually think he’s having fun.”
Spike looked around and saw his younger brother giggling, spinning himself around inside of the mysterious pink barrier.
“Besides. I’m not your mother. I’m just going to be here and help you guys get the proper protection, and then you won’t have to deal with me again. But if you do need me for some reason, like if someone actually got hurt, call me Lavender.” Lavender’s pronged tail flicked.
“What’s protection?” asked Ren.
“It’s the one thing I’m surprised your trainer didn’t already have you two in, so let’s go.” Walking past the paired paralyzed Pokemon, she led them into a room and shut the door.
“Isn’t this…” Spike took in his surroundings. It looked to be some weird tables, and just a bunch of drawers and boxes. Didn’t really seem too protective to him.
The two were released from their prisons upon different, adjacent tables. They both stared intently at the Espeon.
“Hold still, if you would.” Lavender said, and the two obeyed. A pink ray was gently wrapped around both of their waists, before the psychic cat nodded to herself, and the pink around their waist faded into nothing.
“I’ve found your sizes, so let us begin with you.” Spike froze as he caught his eyes in her icy stare.
“So. You may either obey what I say, or I can just restrain you normally if you struggle too much. Now please, lay on your back.”
Ren was watching intently as his older brother did what she told him to do.
“I must ask, though… Why did you not come in diapers of your own? Were you in the middle of a change…?” The Espeon blushed. “S-sorry if that was rude…”
Spike sat up and his eyes widened. “W-what do you mean? We’re not in diapers because we’re already house trained… is this why you brought us in here? Is it policy for us to be in diapers all the time here?”
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think either of you are trained yet.” The Espeon calmly stated. “You were both marked by the owner to be in need of training, which means she and your trainer had a talk about this. You don’t need to lie to me, I understand.”
“It’s okay! We’ll just do it, right Spike?” Ren said chipperly.
Blushing, Spike replied affirmatively. It’d just be for a little bit, and besides… he had to show Ren that good boys follow directions. But he’d totally torch Kris’ lunch later. If only he caught a Psychic-Type so he could actually tell him how embarrassing this was…
“Okay, thank you little one.” Lavender smiled. “So, may I continue?”
In a flash, the two were placed and powdered inside of two Poke-Trainers. Although, the Fire-Types didn’t know the difference of it between a regular Diaper.
“Now since you two are going to be training today, theres a few rules, so listen.” Lavender explained. “You must ask me, the Ninetales, or Grandma if you need to go to the bathroom. The Ninetales is named Lumen, by the way, so call her Ms. Lumen, and me Ms. Lavender.”
The brothers nodded.
“Now, if either of you need to be changed… you are to tell either me or Lumen. Grandma is usually far too busy to do that, so try to come to us first. If you use your trainers too much, we’ll have to put you into diapers for the rest of your stay, so I want you two to try very hard at making it to the potty on time. Snack times and nap times are listed on a big blue poster in the room, so you can check how much playtime you have. You may play with any other ‘mon here, as long as there is no roughhousing under any circumstances, and we will tell you when your trainer is back. And finally, we hope you enjoy your stay here. Do you two understand?”
“Yes Ms. Lavender!”
“...Okay, Lavender… Ms. Lavender.”
“Thank you two boys. Now go play. I’m sure you don’t want to see me filing paperwork in here, do you?”
With a nod, the two scampered outside of the now opened door of the changing room, and took in their surroundings again. It seemed much more jubilant and colorful than before, Maybe it was from meeting a staff member, maybe from knowing that his brother was safe, or maybe it was due to the poofy, slightly bulky training pants on their rears. Whatever the case, Ren ran over to the other kids, eager to play, and Spike followed close behind, keeping an eye on his mischievous sibling.
