Happy Pride Month - from the Astra sisters
Part two of my Pride Month project, and you all probably saw this one coming a mile away. Yes, it's time again I point the spotlight on my personal favorite case of severe co-dependance; Sunny and Midnight Astra.
This is a bit of a weird case, as Sunny is the only one who's bi here. Midnight is full-on lesbian, by virtue of only having eyes for her sister.
Quick recap, at the end of my "Bad Fanfic Day AFTER" story, Sunny was able to piece together that Midnight had been deeply in love with her all this time. says a lot about their bond that Sunny was way more concerned with the "my sister was keeping a secret from me" thing than the "my sister has the hots for me" thing.
Then again, she was keeping a secret that Midnight discovered too; that Sunny was tired of always being the strong one of the two of them. Poor Midnight misenterpreted this to mean that Sunny was getting tired of her being afraid all the time. Which couldn't be further from the truth.
It was in the near shambles of their relationship that Sunny came to the most obvious realization one in her situation could have. Midnight was more than just a sister to her, she was both figuratively and quite literally her other half.
As such, even if Sunny doesn't have those kinds of feelings at all for Midnight that she does for her, that doesn't mean she can't reciprocate those feelings. Since it'd essentially just be masturbation. Ain't nothing too taboo with that!
Sunny also came clean and told Midnight that she always believed she were the stronger one of the two of them, and that it always pained her to see her sister so terrified of everything even when Hell and all the abuse they suffered there was long behind them.
Ever since then, aside from the semi-incestual fling here and there, Midnight had been trying her best to give this new world a try. And for the most part, it is working, and Midnight is being more open around people. Though that's also made Midnight bold enough to let out more of her repressed anger issues than she ever had before. The Astras clearly still have a lot of baggage to unpack, but they will unpack it eventually, together.
Fun Fact; Sunny essentially strong-armed Midnight into this Pride photoshoot, all in an effort to make her sister come out of her shell more. If you can't tell from her face, poor Midnight may be a bit flustered, but part of her is enjoying the attention...

The trick is that if Sunny's cool with a hug, Midnight will grin and bear it entirely for her sake.
I mean, Sunny does manage to get married and have a pair of sons in the future (Reg & Leo,) all without incident. In fact, Midnight even begins actually liking her sister's husband after their sons were born, if you'd believe it! Must be the whole "becoming a mother" thing...

Ah but with the triplets they can show off their babysitting skills and take care of the Astra boys.
I feel like that alone gives them an edge over FMIHASSIMD... Who would be just AWFUL influence on them.
Triplets can actually help them by making them feel normal too. Since they too know what its like to share a body 24/7 all the time.

Bold of you to assume the Astras would let FM,IHASSIMD anywhere near their kids, or that FM,IHASSIMD would want anything to do with them in the first place.
Dude already raised one monster of a snit at Sunny, Midnight, and Ryan's wedding when Sunny and Ryan stopped the proceedings for a bit so that Sunny could hold a short ceremony to "marry" her sister first so she wouldn't feel left out. If the Glaceon came anywhere near their kids, Midnight would probably break all his leg bones into splinters and repurpose him as the world's mouthiest throw pillow!
Dude would most likely avoid Reg & Leo like COVID anyway, because he already has enough multi-headed A-holes (who aren't his moms) muscling into his life as it is. the absolute last thing he needs is a male-male pair to complete the set.
I was actually thinking along the lines of Ivy and Eb themselves babysitting the boys. Maybe teach them the coin flip thing that they themselves rely on.
