Ah, what an amazing story! I loved it. It was very sweet; I think that actually the slight bitter element just made it feel authentic for the sweetness to be there. I would read more because it actually made me invested, haha.

Awww, very cute. That last ending line especially wrapped things up in a nice bow. The way you started it too, comparing people gathering at booths to neurons in a brain, was a really neat visual, and appropriate for a story set at a science convention too.
