Silent Night (the story of dolphins).
Before I start writing, I would like to introduce the reader to the characters - common dolphins.
Belivier is a male, a Common Dolphin with pink eyes, Rosa is a female with a bitten fin and turquoise eyes, also a Common Dolphin and a Male named Coral, he has brown eyes. Belivier is an intelligent, dreamy and romantic male, loves to frolic in the waves, Rose is calm, kind and always ready to support in difficult times, Coral is a little withdrawn, sometimes irritable but in general - not angry, but not sociable.
~
Three dolphins swam underwater, their fins almost touching the surface of the water.
The sunset illuminated the sea, the waves were painted orange from its rays. But there was already a dark blue darkness at the very top of the sky, the sun was going to set very soon.
Dolphins - Beliviere, Rose and Coral hunted small fish that sparkled gold in the sunset rays.
Belivier tried to bring the fish to shore and shouted:
- Coral, bring it up from behind! Rosa, attack from below!
Belivier was kind of in charge of this company. He always led the hunt.
The fish jumped to the surface, sparkling with gold. At this time, the Coral was chasing the fish from behind at full speed, the Rose was pushing them from below to the surface, sometimes snatching the fish and eating it.
Belivier jumped out of the water and jumped right into a school of fish. The fish, not expecting this, did not have time to swim away and the dolphin swallowed several fish at once.
Coral didn't like something and said:
- Don't do that anymore, you're scaring the fish away. I'm struggling to keep the fish in the shoal, and you're ruining everything.
- Oh, don't complain! - Said Belivier - Eat and have fun!
Bellevere jumped again and crashed into a school of fish.
Rose grabbed the fish from below, Coral from the side, and Belivier attacked them from above. Soon all the fish were eaten, and the dolphins swam deep into the ocean, away from the shore. When they surfaced to breathe in the fresh evening air, saturated with the salty spirit of the ocean, they admired the sunset.
Rose said:
- What a stunning sunset!
- Yes, Rosa, - Belivier replied, - he's just fabulous.
Rose took a deep breath and dived. Belivier looked at the sunset and followed her.
Since the sun has almost set, the deep waters of the ocean have already ceased to be brown - golden, they have turned into the usual dark blue color, the color of the depths of the ocean, the color of mystery and suspense.
Rosa moved her tail very vigorously for a while, pushing herself into the depths, then began to swim less quickly.
Belivier noticed that something was bothering Rosa. She didn't look like that. He quickly caught up with her and asked:
- Rosa, I see something is bothering you. Maybe you can share it with me?
Rosa thought for a while and said:
- Oh, Belivier, this is very hard for me. Sometimes I just forget about everything and enjoy life, but when I think about this nightmare, it becomes very difficult for me. I don't want to seem like I'm being withdrawn, but I don't want to talk about it yet... I'll probably tell you about it another time. Let's see if the sun has already set or not.
- This is your wish and I respect it. Perhaps today is not the right day to talk about terrible cases.
Belivier said this and they went together to the surface. Together they emerged from the water and began to look at the dark orange stripe - all that was left of the sunset.
Stars were appearing in the still dark blue sky.
Belivier looked at Rosa and noticed how her bright blue eyes were in harmony with the color of the twilight sky. He found himself thinking that he had never noticed such a thing. He said:
- This orange stripe is like a paradise flower in the depths of the ocean. I want to tell you, Rosa, that today was the best day of my life.
Rosa didn't say anything for a while. Shallow waves washed over her muzzle. She decided to answer anyway.
- Today was definitely a beautiful day.
Coral startled them with his voice, which rang out behind them both:
- May I ask why you're hanging out there? Are you counting the stars there? I already thought you were lost.
- Sorry, Coral. It's just that the sky is too beautiful, so we stayed to look at it.
- God, Belivier, you're back with your romantic nonsense. Sunsets, heavenly flowers... Forget about it and let's go already.
Rose didn't say anything, and when Belivier plunged into the water, following the coral, she just silently swam after him.
Belivier was definitely glad - so many good things had happened that day, but he was burdened by the sight of Rose. What could she be so worried about? What kind of terrible thing happened to her? Curiosity tormented him, but he decided not to bother her. "Let him tell you next time," he thought.
They were floating in the dark depths of the night. They came across a clump of algae and decided to explore them. Coral said thoughtfully:
- I guess I'll swim closer to the tips of the algae. I don't like it when algae touches me.
- Well, Rosa and I will sail right into the thick of it. Just don't lose us again. Belivier said. He said the last words with a grin in his voice. The coral swam to the surface of the water, where the ends of the algae were. Coral didn't like the sneer in Belivier's voice.
Rosa stayed a little behind Belivier. Belivier noticed something and swam faster.
- Where are you going? Rose asked. He replied:
- I noticed something. We swam faster.
When they arrived, they saw an amazing sight. A sea flower grew on an underwater pebble, slightly covered with small algae. It was orange -yellow, shimmering with these colors.
- It's not clear! The surprised Rose swam closer - But what is it?
- I don't know either, but it's just fine. To find such a miracle in the algae thickets is an incredible piece of luck. Belivier, having said this, touched the sea flower with a rostrum.
- And it feels nice to the touch!
Rose hesitated, but did the same.
- It's a pity Coral can't see it.
- Coral? I don't think he'll appreciate it.
Rose swam up and surfaced, inhaled. She said:
- This night is great.
Belivier said:
- She's amazing. But we need to find Coral.
They dived in and went in search of him.
