a follow-up of one of the possible endings of the story.
Jake travels to the spire of Isolation that separates the two major continents, to stop it from causing time and space to unravel, sacrificing his life to do so.
He awakes in a hospital bed in a place he doesn't recognize, and the doctors tell him he was comatose for several years, and that his adventures were just a dream he had during the time. He is younger, has no magic or any impressive feats, and has to come to terms with the fact that most of his "friends" are just classmates who actually despise/hate him, or were merely figments of his imagination.

Damn, that's really depressing.
