Disciples Event Horizon Visit - DUST 514 Lives!
Back in 2013, Crowd Control Productions, makers of EVE Online, released a Playstation 3 first-person shooter called DUST 514. The game put you into the boots of a clone soldier mercenary, who could fight without fear of death and act as a ground support element for the EVE Online pilots flying in space.
EVE Online pilots could provide orbital bombardments for DUST 514 operators on the ground, and communicate with them, all in real-time!
The plan was to have EVE Online pilots transport DUST 514 operators all over the universe, deploying them onto planets, do boarding actions, and even run their own mercenary companies.
Unfortunately, things didn't pan out, and DUST 514 shut down in 2016.
But the game and energy still live on! Even the DUST 514 Discord is still up and running!
And, furthermore, Maken Tosch brought the DUST 514 assets into VRChat!
Herein, the Event Horizon Lounge, which served as a Playstation Homeworld.
