So as many of you may recall, I wasn't always lizorb; I actually started my foray into the silly side of cartoon absurdity with MLP works, over on my now long defunct tumblr. Admittedly I fell off the fandom wagon pretty soon after the show ended, aiming my focus more on the general anthro/furry side of things (once I learned how to draw hands and feet a little better, especially :v). Still, for how huge an impact the show had on me it always still held a place in my heart, and I never stopped appreciating the still surprisingly high volume of content being made for these diminutive colorful equines.
About a month or two ago now though I started rewatching the whole show with the koobl, who had never seen it before. I was a little surprised to see it still held up fantastically (we're only up into S5 currently), and did very well to revitalize that old interest, at least for a little bit. I decided I might as well dust off my old ponysona, but with how many huge changes I've been through to my life and self perception, that old design didn't really feel like it fit much anymore. So, a bit of an overahaul was definitely in order.
This finally gave me a chance to make good on something I've wanted to for a while, too, which is pull more from Kirby design aesthetics ✨⭐🌠. I think it's a lot of why I like the big chonky stars and planets look I've already been leaning into, now fully connected with the star in my mark pretty much almost explicitly being like Popstar, heeheh. But it also goes well with switching to unicorn to take advantage of innate magical abilities I've still never really expounded on for my sona, heh. Originally I was going to go for a more vaporwave/sunset style, like in the BG of the latest ref, but as much as I like that stuff, it doesn't feel like the biggest focus of my identifying aesthetic. The colors still came through with the new manestyle though, which I'm actually really happy with and may try and backport into lizard sometime, honestly.

I can't say I have many ideas lined up for this form just yet, I've got some other things I pan on doing first. And the high of the original mood has kinda faaded since I made this; it was originally made and posted over on bluesky back when FA was down recently, I'm just still bad about posting things in a timely manner, heh. But I've got it ready to use whenever the mood to be hors strikes again again. 🎉✨🐴
