Annabel Harker (or Anna for short) is a vampire fledgling who has taken the opportunity to escape from her sire, Ratcula and the rest of her 'siblings.' In her hand she is holding gold and other riches that she stole from the manor in order to support herself temporarily. She is not yet a full-fledged vampire but the more she feeds on blood, the sooner her transformation will be complete. How long does she have? A week? A month? Several months? Time will only tell.
