Jun (ジュン Jyun) also known as G-3/Jun the Swan, is the team's electronics and demolitions expert. Her Bird Style is based off of the Swan. Her workplace, the Snack J, serves as the gathering place for the Science Ninja Team which also serves as hers and Jinpei's home.
While Jun never knew her parents, one of them was Japanese and the other was American. After their deaths and her transfer to an orphanage, she at one point had fled to the Jupiter Mountains to escape the war[1][1] and found a toddler that she named "Jinpei". The two would grow up in the Shirayuki Orphanage under the care of the United Nations, and they eventually came under the wing of Dr. Nambu after Jun turned 13.
In a possibly-apocryphal article in Asahi Sonorama's Fantastic Graphics TV Anime Collection volume 3, this backstory is expanded upon. Besides Jun's parents dying shortly after her birth, she was then taken in by an aunt, who had perished in a war with a neighboring country when she was approximately around 8 or 9 years old. It was then that she would run away to escape the fire-bombing caused by the war, and her meeting with Jinpei and their transfer to the Shirayuki Orphanage would unfold. Its canon to the original series is debated, as no one involved with the series seemed to have written the backstory and it was an answer to a fictional "interview" with the team members. However, Hisayuki Toriumi was in charge of other content in the volumes, leaving this as some possible canon intended at the time.
At some point after she was taken in by Dr. Nambu, Jun met a young man named Koji and the two became good friends (or boyfriend and girlfriend, as in the initial intent) before he disappeared; in the time he had been missing, he had joined Galactor while she had become the Swan of the Science Ninja Team.
