I think this was an incredibly mind-boggling adventure for my ladies, but I’m sure such events come with amnesia and memory substitution over time, and these anomalies fade from memory, leaving the participants to perceive them as fantasies or dreams. Perhaps even a shared dream.
Truth be told, in my world, Marian could also be married to Robin, but in ballads written to cover up and erase traces of the real spy story. Naturally, Alan was paid handsomely to tell this legend in a simplified version.
