I mean that's where I would want it to go~ Also that's actually how horse anatomy works. Literally. As in not even gas leaves the throat, because they run so fast the esophageal sphincter is sealed super tight to compensate. As for cows/bulls, I do wonder if the third stomach makes things as not retrievable as a horse gut does? Because if this is species accurate, that is a layer that I would dive into any time.
