Back from an unexpected sojourn, bearing good tidings and birds. Here's one of the things I painted while I was away, in-between finishing up my piece for the 2012 Werewolf Calender (here's the sketch in case you missed it--I'll post the final painting sometime later this year!)

I was just thinking that too, with the recent 3 that were posted... It's amazing we get to see these for free, in all honesty, in the right place and time I could see these going for hundreds if not over a thousand o.O

But I meant really just at an art auction or some sorts. In all actuality, a lot of artwork should be prices higher! The talent and skill, time, patience, precise moments... Priceless.

Why do all that when you can just have an unmade bed and be called a genius!? Am I right? And yeah, Picasso was actually a talented artist, but his signature style is just... Well, it's not aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

I was just using that as an example mind you xD I will say it was a tad odd... Although my favorite museum piece was a stack of plastic blocks, that takes the cake. Honestly. Giant plastic cubes stacked on top of each other.

Agreed! Every time I go by a certain area of the amusement park I work at they come out of the short bamboo forest and come dive bombing...(mainly the life guards and park services/sweeps) and they've also dive bombed some kids too!

Love this! I grew up with these guys right in my backyard, one of my favorite birds. You definitively did them justice in this piece, they are talkative little fellows.

Those little buggers are EVIL EVIL!

I used to get divebombed by them constantly when I lived up north; they liked to nest in the raspberry thickets and if you got anywhere near it (by a factor of hundreds of feet) you had a whole armada of angry birds after you.

Saw a whole big angry gaggle of these birds over the weekend. It's really stunning in person to see the incredibly bright patches of red on the black body as they fly.
