What saddens me is these used to be people. Think of how many lives were cut short and turned into... This.
I can only hope they're well and truly dead and that their bodies are just husks animated by the chaos.
The thought of some of their living minds lingering on in those aberrations is horrible to contemplate.

Okay. Multiple hostiles, coming in from the sea. Moving slow, possibly waterlogged. Looks like two platoons, possibly three. They're forming up into ranks, which is not what you'd expect of the Chaos? So that says they're being controlled or commanded. That means they're either intelligent or under control by someone or something that is. Presume independently intelligent until shown otherwise. No obvious commanders yet, possibly the group of larger beings in the center.
