What I suspected.. Years ago I did temp gigs with Kelly services. Worked two weeks at a Safari broker. Heard and read some odd stuff. Was in an office with a giraffe mount behind me. Asked to be moved, dang thing was looking over my shoulder. I was moved to an office with a leopard mount. I moved the monitor up and blocked the view. Snarling cat I could ignore. Something pretty much in personal space I detest. When I started following your comic and Scott's, well I was reminded of that gig.
I don't mind taxidermy; I just hate having something looking over my shoulder. The leopard mount I could ignore but something in my peripheral vision that is close is disturbing. Worked security at one of the Ruger firearms factories. Management office had big game mounts all over. Staff decorated them for various holidays and events. One Wildebeest had the most well fed up look I've ever seen on a mount. Bull Moose mount had a squirrel on one antler - yes Moose and Squirrel
Naw just good old Boris and Natasha. Now somewhere I have a plush figure of Fearless Leader. He showed up under one of my Yule tree photos a few years ago. Had bought him at some retro toy and model shop at a mall I worked security at for a number of years. Our supervisor left, the guys thought I was going to be the next Supervisor. Nothing for months from management. I put the toy in the Supervisor office space, told the crew " Well you have Fearless Leader in command." Couple of months later they brought in a real dud for the position. Guys were grumbling "That damn toy was a better boss"
