So, given it's Year of the Horse (yeah, i know, it really starts in just over a month), I'm probably going to be getting more commissions of my unicorn characters this year. In this case, I got
WolfPsalm to draw Finley, at least in part because she's drawn most of the others already...
I mentioned on the first picture of her that in her backstory, she'd actually transitioned at one point after she first met the feline enchantress she fell in love with (fantasy magic can make stuff like that so much easier, of course). I figure for a while after that she probably trained pretty obsessively... she was a knight before, and just because she was now in a female body, she wasn't going to give that up. So that required training to let her get a better feel for the new body and how it moved, get her timing and muscle tone back to at least what she expected. She was going to be taking enough disrespect just for this change... she was going to make sure nobody was going to see her as shirking or unable to cover her duties.

Yeah, I've joked before about the number of female unicorn characters I have, and the fact that in general they're not the primary characters, but instead the friend or love interest of the main character. (The closest I've had to having a unicorn as the main character was an unwritten story that involved the unicorn thinking she was the main character, trying to absorb my power, and ending up with me in control of her body and using my genre awareness to realize that the whole setup was a game the demons were playing to break up the boredom by letting a 'chosen one' appear every so often and get good enough to provide a spectacle before getting slaughtered.) They're all different sorts of people, too.
Probably says something about me. It's certainly why I when I was considering a 'muse' character, I made her a unicorn.
