A quick note before we begin: if you're not acquainted with Warhammer Fantasy, you may find it difficult to understand the text. The Old World,
a world full of mysteries, dangers, magic, and much more. A place that had so much to offer, yet also harbored much evil.
I could probably go into detail about the whole world, but that would be far too much, so let's go to Lustria.
Lustria was a large continent dominated mainly by hot jungles and was also home to the “lizardmen".
The lizardmen were very widespread in Lustria, yet they also had to deal with many dangers.
Be it chaos, skaven, dark elves... or other peoples who dared to disrupt “the Great Plan.”
Every lizard had their place in Lustria, even though the lizardmen consisted of several races. The differences were enormous, and yet it simply worked.
But let's stick with the picture and how I became one of the great leaders. There were certainly many lizardmen whose reputations preceded them, such as Lord Mazdamundi, Kroq-Gar, Nakai, and many others.
The names alone carried great significance, and it was well known that when one of them went into battle, victory for the lizardmen was highly likely.
One day, I reached a city of lizardmen and as one would expect of the little blue scaly creatures, they were initially hostile towards me.
The lizardmen sounded the alarm when they spotted me in the distance and prepared for the worst. The army stationed in the temple city was immediately ready for battle. The Slann priest who controlled and guarded the city immediately created an “arcane barrier” around the city (like a protective shield).
With every step I took, I got closer to the temple city, and you could see my figure getting bigger and bigger, with the ground shaking with every step.
In my golden, shining armor, I now stood in front of the city and looked down at the troops. The lizards were full of courage, and there was no trace of fear in the air. Seconds of silence were clearly palpable, but suddenly the shield dissolved. The lizards looked at each other, not knowing what was going on, but...
Then the Slann priest floated forward.
The lizards immediately made way for the Slann priest, and I began to grin slightly and crouched down. Slowly, the lizards realized that I was not an enemy, but they didn't know what was going on. The Slann priest, however, knew. He knew exactly who I was and that I was a powerful friend, but how did he know that?
The Slann priest heard about two powerful beings near Hexoatl, macro-sized “dragons” that were being received by Lord Mazdamundi himself for a ritual.
When the Slann priest stood before me, he gave the all-clear signal, and we immediately began to talk to each other, and the lizards relaxed.
But the lizards' curiosity was still palpable, and I could see them watching me closely from a distance.
I spoke to the priest, and we clarified everything else...
Less than five minutes later, I stood up from my crouching position and walked straight into the city, while the lizards looked at me in amazement. I went straight to the center of the old temple city and made myself comfortable there. I was very careful not to damage anything, which is particularly difficult in old cities. But once I had found my pose, everything was perfect.
Lord Mazdamundi had asked me to watch over the city here, and I did him this favor in exchange for a small reward, but that remains a secret for now.
The Slann priest handed over command of the city to me and moved to Hexoatl with a small guard force. I didn't know why.
It didn't take long for the lizards to approach me, and after less than an hour, I felt like one of them.
They weren't shy about being around me, and even the terradons landed on me as they pleased. I really enjoyed being in the middle of life in a lizard city.
I will certainly stay here for a long time and relax and enjoy myself. Of course, I will keep my word and protect the city from any danger.
Would anyone dare to attack the city where I now was?
And how many lizards could I have on me?
Questions that will surely be answered one day.

Well at least he is siding with a forces that hate scaven and warp-touched abominations of chaos
Wild to think that lizards are actually one if not only race in WH Fantasy Battles so nuclear about exterminating chaos and other corruption that it almost makes them good guys in some ways
Always love to see some WH FB based arts actually
It is a rarity but they are definitely a treat for the eyes especially like this one
Elka never disappoints
