Possibly to run a bash script with run_binary ?

I would like to use run_binary for the ability to specify out_dirs. However, my logic is a bash script (currently given as a cmd to a genrule). It uses expansions (e.g. $@).

Is it possible to use bash as the "tool" in run_binary?
