This is now affecting all Windows Server versions, not just Windows Server 2019. I've updated the original announcement to reflect this. |

The Windows Containers team has identified an issue with the April 2025 (4B) update for Windows Server container images. They have temporarily rolled back the floating tags for
mcr.microsoft.com/windows/servercore
andmcr.microsoft.com/windows/nanoserver
images to the March 2025 update for all Windows Server versions. This also affects the Windows-based .NET images since they are based on those images. You can read more about the update at Windows Server containers for April 2025.
According to our image update policy, we will update the .NET container images when the Windows base images have been updated. Thank you for your patience while the Windows team investigates this issue.
