Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Setting up VAT reporting periods and e-filing formats for a specific country can be time-consuming and error-prone for users who are not tax experts. Currently, ERPNext requires manual configuration for each region, which can lead to inconsistencies and compliance issues.

Describe the solution you'd like
Introduce prebuilt, country-specific tax templates in ERPNext that include:

  • Predefined VAT/tax periods (e.g., monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly).
  • Standard tax account mappings and configurations.
  • E-filing-compatible report formats aligned with the local tax authority's requirements.
  • This tool to configure these templates should be accessible to the users through customization or simple import.
  • Optional localization toggles during setup or in the Accounting settings.
This would allow businesses to quickly become compliant with local tax regulations without needing to build configurations from scratch.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Manually setting up tax configurations and custom reports for each country, or relying on community forums and third-party consultants to replicate standard tax setups.

Additional context
Many ERP platforms include regional tax templates as part of their core offering. Adding this to ERPNext—especially for countries with complex VAT systems like South Africa, the UK, or the EU—would improve usability and adoption among small businesses and accountants.
This feature could be structured similarly to existing regional modules
