There have been a bunch of changes lately and now the tests pass on Python 3.

It would be nice to do some testing of the code in real-world situations (GitPython?, but it's tests are currently failing :-() and then push an new release to PyPI.

Thank you, great work !
Next on the list to get git-python working is gitdb, then finally, git-python. This is quite some work ahead, and I haven't made a plan yet on when to tackle it.
When I am done with some contract work, hopefully sometime this week, I will start having a look.
