How to improve the agent's conversational qualities?

How to have the agent engage with the user better in general conversation such as hello. Or when helping the user brainstorm and producing long form markdown?

Not sure if I'm just thinking about this wrong but my thoughts so far are

1. Have the LLM itself be the base and call on smolagent when there is task?
2. Have the manager agent be able to respond to these types of queries
3. Create another agent the manager agent can call to answer these types of queries

It also seems overkill sometimes to have the manager agent call another chating agent for a response to a query like "Hello"
