Hi!

I've got version 6.4.0 up and running for a PoC on my local device, when I send a share to an external user the URL in the email they receive returns a 404 when I open the link on the local device hosting Linshare.

Image Image

I have added the "linshare-ui-user.local" domain in my hosts config which was not specified in the setup docs as far as I know, not sure if this is a misconfiguration on my part

Thanks in advance.

Hello @Fatal3xcept10n,

Thanks for your report.

If you used the Linshare-docker to setup your POC you need to follow default hosts describe here and change it also it the admin interface.

Fabien

Hi Fabien,
Thanks for your reply

I've set up LinShare without using the docker PoC as it wasn't working for me, I have indeed specified the correct information in the hosts file but it still doesn't work, where can I change it in the admin interface as I haven't seen anything regarding that?

Thanks,
Matthew

Hello @Fatal3xcept10n,
Ok.
What was your issue with linshare-docker ? It will be easier for you with docker to do your POC.
For this you need to access to the linshare admin admin.linshare.local but you have host problem so it will be no available right ?
To help you, what is the goal of your POC ?

Regards,
Fabien

Hi Fabien!

The goal for the PoC is to understand whether LinShare has the all the utilities and functionalities that are necessary for our environment specifically related to observability.

I managed to get the docker PoC up and running and it's fully working! So that should be suitable for now just to test out the functionalities a bit.

However I still have a bit of a question mark when it comes to how it should be deployed in production and not as a proof of concept, I managed to get the admin and user UI working, and set up my own SMTP and LDAP servers, but I could not get access to external user links and that's quite an important functionality.

Thanks,
Matthew

Hello @Fatal3xcept10n ,

Ok great news!

Which base URL did you put in anonymous urlconfiguration in the admin configuration ? The default one is https://user.linshare.local

Image

For production it depends on your usage, LinShare can be installed on virtuals machines or k8s, for more informatio you can have a look https://github.com/linagora/linshare/tree/master/documentation/EN/installation

Don't hesitate if you have some (functional or technical) questions to give us your email.

Regards,
Fabien
