Go example servers.

We'd like to add examples for Go to this repo. Where should they live? The same question applies to other languages.

I think the Go example for foo should live in src/foo, with the other languages. That way they share a readme.

What if they were in a go subdirectory?

We don't really categorize servers by language in this repo.

Note that in the SDKs there are typically examples folders with example servers. E.g. Typescript's example servers in that SDK project demonstrates how to do different basic things with the Typescript SDK.

This repo is more about providing some references that are useful functional things that can be done with MCP rather than demonstrations of how to do them in a particular language. Like the Filesystem server, or the Everything server which exercises the capabilities of MCP (best paired with the Inspector for illustrative purposes).

The maintainers of this repo aren't necessarily go developers, so it's not the best place to make a Go playground, IMO. The publishing process becomes more complicated and brittle with every language added. Whereas in the Go SDK, you've already got everything you need configured.
