Setup custom fields ONLY for specific device types

I find that it would be interesting to be able to setup a custom field only for a specific device type. For instance, I want to include a list of IP Phones into my netbox, and relate them with an extension number. But extension numbers only make sense for the Device Type IP Phone.

I'm looking for the same feature and it was asked for in #8560.
What you can already do is to hide the field in the UI if it's not set.
With a Custom Validation you can keep users from setting the custom field on other device types.
I.e. the field still shows up in the Edit UI, but that might be acceptable.
