would a PR be accepted to support latest rpush, should I fork it, or is there a better tool for this

Honestly I'm not personally particularly interested in maintaining this; I don't use it, nor do I use statsd, and this repo is very stale, probably needing a bunch of work on CI and such.

I would not be opposed to someone else, possibly you, taking over maintenance of it.
