Open Source Cross Compilers

SDCC is a retargettable, optimizing standard C (ANSI C89 / ISO C90, ISO C99, ISO C11 / C17, ISO C23) compiler that targets a growing list of architectures: STM8, MCS-51, DS390, HC08, S08, Z80, Z180, R800, Rabbit, SM83, eZ80 in Z80 mode, Z80N, TLCS-90, Padauk PDK14 and PDK15 microprocessors. There also is incomplete support for the Microchip PIC16 and PIC18 and the Padauk PDK13 and MOS 6502.

JWasm is a Masm-compatible assembler. It supports 16-, 32- and 64-bit code, instructions up to AVX and various output formats. It's written in C.

VolksForth is a 16bit Forth System with the goal to produce a manageable Forthsystem for computer systems with restricted system resources.

nwcc is a C compiler for Unix systems targeting *BSD, OSX, Linux and Solaris on x86 (nasm/gas), FreeBSD, OSX and Linux on AMD64 (yasm/gas), Solaris on SPARC, AIX and Linux on PPC/PPC64 and IRIX on MIPS64. Cross-compilation is supported.

MinForth V3.4 is a classic Forth system with command-line interface. Development resource requirements are minimal. A source text editor and a C compiler are sufficient. By design no toolchain is required to adapt or rebuild MinForth. A complete rebuild takes only few seconds. Current sources are for Windows and Linux (32-bit or 64-bit). MinForth primitive definitions are written in mixed Forth and C language and are transpiled to pure C code. Main but not exclusive application for the transpiler is to build the MinForth V3.4 high-level Forth compiler. MinForth V3.4 is widely conformant to the Forth-2012 draft standard and passes the usual test suites. The NT POSIX C Runtime Library is an IEEE standard runtime library for the NT POSIX subsystem. It can be used as a complete replacement or a side by side alternative for what is shipped with the Interix SDK.

Ofront+ is a tool that translates programs in Oberon dialects into semantically equivalent C programs. Full error analysis is performed on the Oberon input program and in case of no errors up to three files are generated as output. Ofront+ does not invoke the C compiler or linkage editor. This may be done in separate shell scripts or make files and is inherently dependent on the C compiler and linkage editor being used. Although normally not read by the user, the C code generated by Ofront+ is kept as readable as possible, nicely formatted, should not produce any C compiler error messages or warnings and is tuned for efficient execution. In fact, an Oberon program translated by Ofront+ can be expected to execute as fast and read as well as an equivalent hand-coded C program. Ofront+ is based on Ofront by Software Templ OEG. PXC is a new C-Crosscompiler-Project, based on PCC the UNIX(TM)-Original. Aimed at ISO-9899:99/201x Feature-Completness and easy retargeting. The Toolchain will consist of an Assembler, Linker, Librarian and an integrated MISRA-C-Checker.

Moved to http://github.com/ftrias/pyembedc Python module to embed C/C++ code within Python source code and scripts. Automatically compile and dynamically link the code. Transparently allow native access to python data from C code and vice versa. Module provides all the "glue" to dynamically convert data types, arrays and structures.

WinCMOC v0.6 is here! So many new features, I cant remember them all. Please uninstall old versions before installing. This is a port of the CMOC compiler (written by Pierre Sarrazin) to Windows. Currently CMOC does not support linking, so, I've written front end tools which edit CMOC's output so that it can be assembled and linked via LWTOOL's. The Z83 C Compiler is an optimizing cross compiler for a language very similar to C targeted toward the TI83+. The output from the compiler may be assembled with TASM (http://home.comcast.net/~tasm/) or ZASM (http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_zasm/).

This project is for homebrew console development tools based on the gnu compiler collection with additional tools and libraries to aid programming each supported console. The windows variants are built with MinGW.
