The sigrok project aims at creating a portable, cross-platform, Free/Libre/Open-Source signal analysis software suite that supports various device types, such as logic analyzers, MSOs, oscilloscopes, multimeters, LCR meters, sound level meters, thermometers, anemometers, light meters, dataloggers, function generators, power supplies, GPIB interfaces, and more.

ExplorViz is a web-based software visualization for large software landscapes. It features two different perspectives: the landscape-level perspective and the application-level perspective. The former visualizes the systems, nodes, and application existing in the software landscape. RenderTools is an OpenGL based scenegraph library in C++ for Windows, OSX and IOS supporting OpenGL|ES1.1, ES2.0, OpenGL1.5 and up to the latest version (currently 4.2). It allows the developer to easily (de)serialize a scenegraph to-and-from xml, create renderbuffers, framebuffers, samplers, vertexbuffers etc. and cross-reference those items. RenderTools allows you to completely specify an application, its resources, viewcontrollers and its renderpasses in one single xml. GraphNodes such as RelationalNode, RenderNode, and TransformNode can be used to create a complex hierarchy for rendering. Both update and render calls can selectively include or exclude specific components such as geometric details or lighting or texturing.

Semantics Visualizations enable understanding complex matters in an easy way. The research group “Semantics Visualization” is working on processing, enriching, and visualizing any kind of semantic data to provide visually discoverable information. Thereby processes of knowledge acquisition, human information retrieval, and decision making are supported by a variety of interactive visual representations. The developed visualizations do not only allow to investigate the masses amount of various semantic formats on Web, e.g. Linked- Data or Social Networks, they also enable the interactive illustration of structured data. With SemaVis we developed a technology that provides various perspectives on the semantics of information. By combining different visualization techniques users and enterprises are able to perceive various data and information characteristics. SemaVis enables a facilitate human access to the “Internet of Data”.

SmartStock is a student project about improving the lending and managing process of devices that the ECE lends to students for their projects. It is a plugin of Booked (https://sourceforge.net/projects/phpscheduleit/). It allows managers to use QRcodes to identify every device to prenvent loss and to ease lending process.
