Open Source Python Database Engines/Servers for Linux

OPEW is a powerful, complete, independent and extensible open source distribution stack for GNU/Linux based OS. Its goal is to provide a rich, portable, ready-to-run development environment focused on modern and robust programming languages in order to satisfy the common needs for a software development. OPEW includes the latest stable version of PHP, Ruby, Perl, Node.js, Go, Python and Lua, providing a powerful multi-language development enviroment. It's also given a full stack of open source DBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQLite3 and Redis). Git (SCM) is included as well with some tools for code versioning and review. OPEW is fully binary independent compiled stack and fully portable In the future OPEW aims to be extensible using addons then can be installed in the same stack improving itself. Currently OPEW is still an experimental beta version.

This is an experiment in creating the best database API I can come up with. It is an alternative to query languages. The latest version is being written in Scala using Berkeley DB Java and will run on the Java VM.
