FractalNow provides users with tools to generate pictures of various types of fractals quickly and easily. It is made of both a command line tool, FractalNow, and a graphical tool, QFractalNow. The graphical tool, based on Qt library, allows users to explore fractals intuitively and generate pictures. Both tools are entirely multi-threaded and implement advanced algorithms and heuristics that make computation very fast compared to most existing free fractal generators.

Knotter is a highly configurable interlace designer. Interlace patterns are a kind of design historically used as a decorations in many places and by different cultures, some examples are Celtic knotworks and Islamic interlaces. Knotter aims to allow its user to design such patterns in an intuitive way and to provide easy ways to integrate the result in external general-purpose graphic software. For this purpose, designs created within Knotter can be save in a custom human-readable format and exported as Scalable Vector Graphics and in a wide number of raster image formats.

Create non-periodic tiling of the plane by projecting high-dimension integer lattice onto a plane. Ported to Java from Objective-C, with very minor modifications. Uses AWT for the UI.

OpenGL/SDL, cross compatible, real-time 3D/4D fractal viewer and generator.

This program draws a user-defined function from complex plane to RGBA color. Currently, compiled program draws Mandelbrot set, but if you want to draw another function, you need to inherit it from 'Renderer' class in sources, pass it to 'Window' and recompile project. Including 4 versions. The first one was written with C++ and uses CPU 128-bit double. The second does the same, but was written with D language and Derelict3. The third uses GPU (GLSL shaders) to draw Mandelbrot set. It is extremely fast, but uses only 32-bit float. And finally, the fourth works on CPU, but uses arbitrary precision (OpenMP), so it hasn't limit for depth (except rendering time).

This is a Perl script that will generate color maps for the fractal program Fractint. It will generate a map of 2 to 128 bands of colors that blend together. Bands of black can be used between each color..

Game of Life 3D is an platform-independent OpenGL implementation of John Conway's Game of Life with a modern QT4 user interface. It features a random mode and different pre defined example modes.

March 2013 this project was announced first to public, but the feedback was ZERO. So I guess it is insanely bad and unusable. Ok. But sorry, I decided to continue it for myself to improve my inability and unexperience in software development FOR MYSELF. Even if it seemed to be the worst thing ever, I *NEED* to develop software for my own well being and even if I apparently - after over 20 years since the first lines of code I wrote - I improved my ability not a single bit than it is like that and I can't change it. BTW: there was feedback indeed: from the own 'family': "it is done by YOU so it cannot be of use for anybody!" (Literally: it contains algorithms and algorithms are evil and are non-existent in usable software)

Fraqtive is an open source, multi-platform generator of the Mandelbrot family fractals. It uses very fast algorithms supporting SSE2 and multi-core processors. It generates high quality anti-aliased images and renders 3D scenes using OpenGL. It allows real-time navigation and dynamic generation of the Julia fractal preview. Frond is a cross platform fractal viewing application written in Java. Frond allows you to zoom in to any area of the fractal with unlimited undo and redo capabilities and adjust amount of iterations to maximise detail.

JFractals is a fractal generator written in Java. JFractals allows you to zoom into Julia sets and the Mandelbrot set. JFractals supports multithreaded rendering, antialiasing and multiple colouring methods.

A Java library for generating 2D procedural textures based on a re-usable set of rendering components.

This small library implements the Koch curve, snowflake and anti-snowflake like a Shape to be used like any other Java shape. You can test the library by compiling the test applet in Files.

Take two reference points and use them to define an x-axis. Then add in some other points to form any pattern. Tux's Turtle is a drawing environment for children. It uses geometrically-based "turtle graphics" (well known from Logo) but is completely immediate and programmed using single keypresses (like Delta Drawing). No knowledge of the editor is necessary.
