AnyPixel.js is an open-source software and hardware library that makes it possible to use the web to create big, unusual, interactive displays. Anyone can fork the code and the schematics to create their own display at any scale. The first display using this platform is in the 8th Avenue lobby at the Google NYC office. To create this installation, we used 5880 off-the-shelf arcade buttons with LEDs inside them as our pixels. AnyPixel.js’ straightforward hardware/software framework makes it easy to build any display where each pixel is an interactive element. We've included 12 example apps written by Googlers and friends for the 8th Avenue lobby display in NYC. To check them out, install the previewer and run one of the examples. It includes hand optimised ARMv6 assembler, demonstrating techniques such as pipeline stuffing to achieve maximum performance. It also demonstrates how to include large chunks of assembler inline with C/C++ thus avoiding ABI issues between platforms. -

GPUImage 2 is the second generation of the GPUImage framework, an open source project for performing GPU-accelerated image and video processing on Mac, iOS, and now Linux. The original GPUImage framework was written in Objective-C and targeted Mac and iOS, but this latest version is written entirely in Swift and can also target Linux and future platforms that support Swift code. The objective of the framework is to make it as easy as possible to set up and perform realtime video processing or machine vision against image or video sources. By relying on the GPU to run these operations, performance improvements of 100X or more over CPU-bound code can be realized. This is particularly noticeable in mobile or embedded devices. On an iPhone 4S, this framework can easily process 1080p video at over 60 FPS. On a Raspberry Pi 3, it can perform Sobel edge detection on live 720p video at over 20 FPS. -

LaMa - A Localization and Mapping library
LaMa is a C++11 software library for robotic localization and mapping developed at the Intelligent Robotics and Systems (IRIS) Laboratory at the University of Aveiro - Portugal. It includes a framework for 3D volumetric grids (for mapping), a localization algorithm based on scan matching, and two SLAM solutions (an Online SLAM and a Particle Filter SLAM). The main feature is efficiency. Low computational effort and low memory usage whenever possible. The minimum viable computer to run our localization and SLAM solutions is a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. We provide a fast scan-matching approach to mobile robot localization supported by a continuous likelihood field. It can be used to provide accurate localization for robots equipped with a laser and a not-so-good odometry. Nevertheless, good odometry is always recommended. -

Source was written in pure C, so should compile on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux without issues. -

go-sdl2 is SDL2 wrapped for Go users. It enables interoperability between Go and the SDL2 library which is written in C. That means the original SDL2 installation is required for this to work. Some older versions of the distributions such as Ubuntu 13.10 may also be used but it may miss an optional package such as libsdl2-ttf-dev on Ubuntu 13.10's case which is available in Ubuntu 14.04.
