With the previous image (SVN 1566), everything worked. Now with svn 1703, the pppoe-start connects (it shows "connected") but then attempts to use udhcp to assign an IP address. It's possible that pppd is perfectly fine and some other change affected this. I'll have to sort through all of this stuff. I know Philip made some changes to the network init which should also be reviewed. I'll take a look at it tomorrow. I have a feeling this would work fine on a dynamic pppoe connection. I was staring at the output of doing a "make all" (captured in a script) and noticing all of the "integer overflow" warnings, so I decided to root cause that. First off, the L64() macro which is used for 64-bit hash/encryption key data was using LL and not ULL, so anything with the high bit set was causing an error. But that hardly scratched the surface. So I dug some more, and grepped out the: "checking size of ..." messages spat out from configure, and things got more interesting: checking size of size_t... 8 No, it's definitely *not* 8 on a i586-class machine. Lonnie, Thanks. I can't think of anything that would be harmed by this. I just tested it on my local machine. Certainly makes fixing this easier. I'm not sure of the exact cause, but it's related to unionfs. It's also not present with aufs (so when we move to that, we won't have the same issue). I'll commit this change and another change to remove the mount ro/rw buttons from the settings page too. Those will create huge problems with unionfs. I hit the same problem, and after much trial and hair pulling, the fix is to put "output_buffering = On" in a "php.ini" file at the root of the web-gui. ie. # cat php.ini display_errors = On output_buffering = On Some Background... This error (shell-init:) is generated when large enough HTML is generated. 5880 bytes, OK 7892 bytes, 1 Error 9259 bytes, multiple Errors Setting "display_errors = Off" in php.ini did not make any difference. I uploaded some new test images this morning to my personal server. The biggest change in these is the upgrade of Asterisk to 1.4.19-rc3 (because of the security fixes) and zaptel to 1.4.9.2. Hello, genunion is really confusing to me. Why don't we detect if they have a keydisk currently configured/mounted before we prompt to copy files or inform the user of movekd. Why don't we prompt to run movekd for them if they have a keydisk? Here's the initial commit to the busybox svn: http://buildroot.busybox.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi?rev=21054&view=rev There are about 2 dozen files that are added. I don't know what other changes there were to busybox from 1.8.2 to what's in svn (since there's a 1.9.1 release that's stable between 1.8.2 and svn). We made this change so we can provision the codec_preferences in asterisk.conf from the avoid-transcoding patch I added yesterday. The hope is we can centrally adjust codec parameters and provision them centrally, thus including /etc/asterisk/includes/asterisk.conf (which we can write out and push to the box). Not a good solution because you only run genkd and genunion one time, but the KCMD line would need to be updated each time a new image is used.
