Welcome to Clicks`n`Bricks!

I want to personally welcome you to this project. I have been a programmer now since 1984 and have written software for a number of different businesses. My major program though is one that was written for Windows 95 and after, called CAMS Retail Jeweler. This is a management program for retail jewelry stores which started life in 1995 and was the first specialty jewelry store program written for the new Windows op sys. I started Clicks`n`Bricks about 10 years ago with the thought of mobile service businesses, and from there it evolved into a program that can be used by service and retail businesses. There is also a jewelry store component to it. All of these versions can be turned on or off in the company info area of the program.

Clicks`n`Bricks is written in PHP and makes use of JavaScript and AJAX. I use a code generating program to take some of the grunt work out of the coding process. What I use is a commercial program called Scriptcase. The current version of that program is 9.x. Anyone wanting to use that product that would like the program import to bring the project into Scriptcase may have it by contacting me at paul@clicksnbricks.net.

I hope to have some people that would like to add to this program. When I started writing it for retail I put code and data tables in so that the same database for the store portion of the program could also be used for ecommerce. My idea is that a user should be able to enter something into the database and use it for more than just one purpose. Thus, the name of the program referring to the store/office (Bricks) and ecommerce (Clicks).
