I recently instlled clonezilla on a usb key. It works well, but I was wondering if there is any way to save information such as the command line history back to the key? If this could be done it would save having to type in rather long and complicated commands each time I use it. I could just select the required command from the history and about the only thing that would need to be changed is the date.

If this is not possible at the moment I would like to submit it as a feature request.

This is a prompt before you go with save or restore an image. Clonezilla will save the command in /tmp/.
Is this what you want ? or ?

I don't think so, the /tmp/ folder will surely be empty the next time you start the program?
I was looking for something that would be saved between sessions. For this it would have to write to the USB key from which it is running.

So you can copy the command history in /tmp/ to your Clonezilla image home if it's writable. Won't you ?
