This feature request was originally posted as bug #45 by Nabeel Sowan :
Dune 2: The Golden Path (another D2 remake for windows which is closed source) features an automatic way of building concrete slabs.
You basically "paint" them on the map with the mouse cursor, at which point they are 50% transparent. And the construction yard will build them one by one, if it has no work waiting in the queue.
This is an area where the AI has an unfair advantage.
I think this should be optional, and default off.
I created a patch that reduces the unfair AI advantage; the patch from https://sourceforge.net/p/dunelegacy/patches/12/ will result in queued buildings getting built while the first ones in the queue aren't placed yet.
There is no upfront painting in the patch, but it does allow painting of a large amount of slabs in one go if they were queued upfront.
