I did see Request # 658595 but I'm not sure it's
quite what I have in mind.
In IRC clients one can type (without the
quotes): "/me my message" which then displays "* XXX
my message" in a different colour where XXX is my
nickname.
this is used to indicate actions taken e.g.
/me nods head
resolves to:
* ekkis nods head
this would be great to have and some of the other
chatters like the Windows-based Trillian support it.
