Hi, using the following script, I would expect both plots to be of the same size (3cm x 3cm). Instead, the second one is much larger. Is this a bug or a user error? Bastian ----- set term post size 3cm, 3cm set outp "test1.ps" plot x unset outp set outp "test2.ps" set termoption font ",8" plot x unset outp |

The key reason for that is that you're still using long outdated syntax. You're specifying line types by number only, without the keyword 'linetype' in front of it. plot x with lines lw 2 linetype 3, -x with lines linetype 3 would have worked. |

Hello there, I am using gnuplot for more then 5 years. I am using it to represent temperature measurement in many points for = long periods. Recently I installed Linux Fedora with Gnuplot 4.0. Unfortunately next command not excepted by compiler: Next commands have no problems. =20 plot x with lines 3, -x with lines 4 OK plot x with lines lw 2 3 is OK but=20 plot x with lines lw 2 3, -x with lines 3 Failed. =20 Since I have many lines, I need linewith to emphasize most important = lines. =20 -------------------------------------------------------------------------= ------- New feature proposition: Since I collected information for a long period, I will like to have = some zooming and scrolling possibilities, like in Adobe Photoshop and = many others. I will like to start from presenting last year information, but let to = user scroll back on previous years, zoom out to show all 10 years = interval, or zoom in to specific month. I am doing it today by tricky = Perl scripts. I seen zoom in Gnuplot 4.0, but there are no zoom out and = scrolling. I have collection of graphs to show. Today I am doing it sequentially, = with 'pause'. It is not friendly. I will like to describe variouse pages, and then let = user to navigate them, like pages in Photo Shop, or Data Sheets in Exel. Mousing and multiplot mode don't mix. Mousing and non-interactive usage don't mix much better. |

i want to call gnuplot from a vc++ program and make it run a file .this file (say output.txt) has the mulitplot option .i am at present using either the "system" command or "RunSilent" command . in both cases gnuplot opens and plots the graphs , but if i click the mouse once one of the plots disappear . on the other hand if i just call gnuplot and then run this file , it works perfectly .could some one help me ? here is the file "output.txt": cd 'c:/' set multiplot set size 1,0.5 set origin 0.0,0.5 set title 'phase plot' set xlabel'Frequency' set ylabel'phase' set key below plot 'data.dat' using 1:6t 'phase' with linespoints set origin 0.0,0.0 set title 'amplitude plot' set xlabel 'Frequency' set ylabel 'amp' set key below plot 'data.dat' using 1:7t 'amp' with linespoints unset multiplot i use the command as : system ("gnuplot output"); or RunSilent ("gnuplot output",""); ps: i use gnuplot-4.0.0 on windows xp |
