If mod_idcheck is installed and mod_ssl is not loaded in, the httpd child processes die with:

Nov 27 17:18:56 beep httpd: [Thu Nov 27 17:18:56 2014] [notice] child pid 29284 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

The solution to this is to load in mod_ssl in your apache configuration.

LoadModule ssl_module modules/mod_ssl.so

This is caused because of the use of an optional function called is_https in mod_idcheck.c

I will attempt a fix for the next release.
