JBioFramework (JBF) is a set of two different chemical separations simulations (2D Electrophoresis and Mass Spectrometry) that are frequently used in chemistry, biochemistry and proteomics research. It is written in the Java programming language and will run on any and all systems that have the JVM installed.

Current work is underway which deals with the inclusion of a reverse-phase simulation, and the conversion of the html applet Ion Exchange into the main application along with a new help tab and updated help files and problem sheets.

We've recently added some new members to the team and are working diligently to improve the functionality and features of the program.

If you are having trouble using the program, here are some links to the relevant help files:
IonEx - Ion Exchange Simulation, Electro1D - 1D-Electrophoresis, Electro2D - 2D-Electrophoresis, Mass Spectrometer - Tandem Mass Spectrometer.
